Rather than protesting against job losses, should the unions not be proactively fighting for all citizens to have access to financial services.

More than half of the bank branches in the UK have closed. The same in the USA and similar in India and every other country that you want to look at. It is called progress. Digitalisation is poised to bring costs down and make financial services available to all. What could possibly be wrong with that?

The world does not need bank branches. What the world does need desperately is everyone to have access to financial services so that they can be economic citizens and participate in the growth of the economy of the country in which they live which in turn will stimulate job creation.

Clinging to dinosaur models will not assist job creation.
